Call types: what each call is for

Updated 25 October 2026

AI setup > Call types holds the scripts. Each call, campaign and instant lead uses one call type.

Stages

Call types are grouped and colour-coded by where they sit in the journey, so you can see at a glance what a call was for:

  • Reach: first contact with someone who has not heard from you (for example a cold sale, or reactivating a dormant lead).
  • Warm: people who already know you (inbound qualification, warm follow-up).
  • Convert: getting the next step agreed (appointment booking).
  • Listen: interviews and feedback calls that gather information instead of selling.

What you can edit

AI setup, Call types, grouped by stage

  • Basics: the name, the journey stage and the kind (a sales call or an interview).
  • First message: the opening line. It can use the person’s name and the AI’s name.
  • Script: the instructions the AI follows. A word count is shown, because every word is read on every turn: shorter scripts reply faster.
  • Voicemail: what to do on a voicemail. Left blank, the AI hangs up without leaving a message; write a short message only if you want one left.
  • What to capture (interviews): the fields the AI should extract, such as pain points in the person’s own words.

Tips

  • Keep it short and concrete. Say what to ask, what never to say, and when to end the call.
  • Test every change by calling your own phone before using it on a campaign.
  • Sales types state only what is written in Knowledge.
  • Duplicate a campaign before changing its call type if you want to compare results.
